A company called Inception Point AI is flooding podcast directories with content. In general I don't have a position on what Castro users choose to listen to in their podcast app and would like to help them find content they're looking for even if it is badly produced or unlistenable. But this company seems to be keying on popular searches in order to flood search results and deceive users.

For this reason, any podcasts we can identify as originating from this company will be permanently hidden from search and charts going forward. If a user wants to add them, they can do so via RSS feed only.

If Spreaker or Inception Point wants to add something to their RSS feeds clearly communicating their origin so we can indicate to the user this is AI generated we are open to revisiting this decision. Anyone wishing to discuss can email support@castro.fm. I expect this to be an escalating problem and solutions will evolve as we go forward.
