Listen in Castro
Castro 2.5.2 is available now on the App Store. It brings iPhone X support, a number of bug fixes, and podcast sharing.
Castro 2 has always had episode sharing but now from any podcast screen in the app you can tap the share icon in the top right to link to the entire podcast rather than an individual episode.

Podcast share pages (like this and this) show the podcast artwork, author information, and a summary. We use universal links so these can open directly in Castro itself. Then a user can subscribe to the podcast or select an episode to add to their queue.
Universal links can be troublesome at times. They don’t always open in the app as expected, and the banner that Apple provides to jump from Safari to the app is hidden (and often missing). So for users who end up in Safari after tapping a Castro share link we’ve added explicit “Open in Castro” buttons to improve the experience.

For podcast listeners who don’t use Castro, the podcast share page also provides convenient links in the footer to open the podcast in Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts or Overcast, and a direct link to the podcast feed if they’d like to paste that into any other app.
If you’re a podcaster and would like to make it easy for your listeners to open your podcast in Castro you can link to your podcast using its iTunes ID and the following URL structure: <a href="https://t.umblr.com/redirect?z=https%3A%2F%2Fcastro.fm%2Fitunes%2FITUNES_ID&t=NjhiOWI1YzNmN2VlOTE0OWJhNGIzNzM1MDAwYzk2N2M2MmE5OTJkYixPWEdNN1hPUw%3D%3D&b=t%3AicJmaFg9TmrfMRpH7q0GXw&p=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.supertop.co%2Fpost%2F166861739807%2Flisten-in-castro&m=0">https://castro.fm/itunes/ITUNES_ID</a>.
We’ve created buttons that you can use to link to your Castro page but also feel free to create buttons in whatever style suits your website using our app icon resources.
Castro 2.5.2 is available now on the App Store. It’s a free update for users of Castro 2 and only $3.99 if you haven’t tried Castro yet.
